Pepper List
List Peppering is done just before sending to add markers to an
email list, usually the marker being your own email address. By adding
your own email address to a list at regular intervals, you can determine how
much of the list went out during send and approximately when it failed if a
problem occurred.

Click the '

-
Select
a folder to save the output file in and specify a file
name. Click the OK button when finished.
-
Select
the email address you want planted into the list in the box labeled '
Email Address '
- Select the interval at which you
address will be planted. It is a good idea to determine the size of the
list you are peppering before choosing this number. Peppering in 10%
intervals is common practice, but there are those who go by batched sizes or
finer percentages. On a list of 1 million email, peppering your email
address every 100,000 will give you markers every 10%. If you want a
finer level of detail and don't mind a flood of your own advertisements, then
peppering every 10,000 for markers every 1% may be more ideal.
